Alexa è una barra degli strumenti commerciale che svolge alcuni compiti che alcuni utenti potrebbero trovare indesiderabili. La barra degli strumenti, che appare nel browser Web Internet Explorer, raccoglie le informazioni sulle abitudini di navigazione, come i termini di ricerca e siti web visitati. Alcuni utenti hanno segnalato problemi di rimozione Alexa utilizzando lo strumento di Windows di disinstallazione. Alexa può essere rimosso manualmente. Si noti che la rimozione manuale è un processo tecnico che, se fatto in modo errato, possono causare gravi problemi di livello di sistema.
1 Fare clic su "Start", digitare "regedit" nel campo di ricerca e premere Invio per aprire l'Editor del Registro di sistema.
2 Eliminare le seguenti voci di registro. Per eliminare una voce di registro, fare clic sulla voce e selezionare "Elimina".

3 Chiudere l'editor del Registro.
4 Fare clic su "Start", digitare "cmd" nel campo di ricerca e premere Invio per aprire il prompt dei comandi.
5 Digitare i seguenti comandi al prompt dei comandi. Premere Invio dopo ogni comando. Questi comandi vengono utilizzati per eliminare il Dynamic Link Library (DLL), file e directory associati con Alexa.
regsvr32 / u alexaie.dll
regsvr32 / u alxres.dll
regsvr32 / u alxtb.dll
regsvr32 / u alxtb1.dll

6 Chiudere il prompt dei comandi e riavviare il computer.
